PLR Articles
PLR articles are private label rights articles. It is not immediately self evident what that means, because it
is a rather clumsy expression, but basically, it means that the buyer of the PLR articles can do what they like
with them.
If the author sells his articles as private label rights, the customer has the right to rewrite the articles,
claim them as his own and sell them on.
However, there are different levels of PLR rights. On the lowest level, the original author allows the buyer to
put his own name to the articles; at the next level, the original author allows the buyer to alter the text; on
another level, the original author allows the purchaser to sell the articles on as his own and the highest level of
PLR is where the original author allows the buyer to sell the articles on with the right to edit them and sell them
on again.
Therefore it is extremely important to check the terms and conditions of the sale of private label rights
articles to ensure that you are getting the rights that you want.
In order to be perfectly clear, all articles for sale BY ME on this web site were written wholly BY ME and come
with full rights to rewrite them, call them your own and resell them. However, if you buy articles from the Google
adverts on this site, you should read that author' own terms and conditions because I have no say over them.
So, who might profit from buying PLR articles and why would they do that?
In the first case, people who buy PRL articles could be people who have a great idea for a web site, but who do
not have the time to write enough articles to launch or promote it well. In general, it takes about ten articles to
promote a small five page web site. Some people do not have time to write fifteen articles on a subject.
Secondly, there are others who do not have the ability or the confidence to write that volume of articles to
create a web site and promote it. It is not easy to write a high volume of good quality articles in a foreign
language no matter how well you speak that language.
If native speakers have problems writing articles in English then non-native speakers could face otherwise
insurmountable obstacles to having a web site in English.
So why would anyone want a web site in English rather than their own language? The answer is simple - volume and
rewards. Most of the world's surfers who have a credit card are English-speaking.
If you want to have the best chance of making money on line, you need web sites in English and you need to
promote those web sites with articles written in English and get them distributed through article databases, most
of which only accept articles written in good English.
All the articles on this web site were written by me, Owen Jones. I am British and went to school and university
in the United Kingdom. I have studied seven languages to fluency and have worked as a translator and I am in my
mid-fifties. You can rest assured that my articles are of very high quality.
